Who says lightning doesn't strike twice.

Who says lightning doesn't strike twice. According to an article on MSNBC, two Ireland-based aer lingus flights were struck by lightning at the Shannon Airport in Ireland. Luckily, no one was injured, but both planes did suffer damage, stopping the planes from reaching their final destination, Dublin.
Its pretty amazing to me to think that two airplanes at the same place around the same time got nailed by lightning. What could have prevented that? Lots of money worth of repairs, and time that was lost that cannot be returned. Sometimes things happen in our lives that just seem impossible. Losing a secure job, our house gets swept away by a flood, and we wonder how in the world could that happen to us. We can take comfort in knowing that God knows our situation and is willing to comfort us. In response to a prayer, Joseph Smith was told,

No matter what happens in our life, may we stay close to the lord, He loves us and wants to be apart of it.

Don't Judge a Book by its Cover

The English idiom "don't judge a book by its cover" is perfect for this situation. The homeless man was judged as being a "shady" man. The truth, he was a nice guy that was just trying to live his life the best he could. In essence we are all trying to be our best self's. Along the journey of life we find that we get judged. Some will be offended, other will think nothing of it, and many dwell on it way too long.
"Life is perfect for none of us.
Rather than being judgmental
and critical of each other,
may we have the pure love of Christ
for our fellow travelers
in this journey through life."
~Thomas S. Monson~
President of The Church of Jesus Christ of Latter-day Saints
